Life Of A College Kid

HAKUNA SOME VODKA TANK:SKREENED | Glasses: Cotton On| Tutu\Tank\Keds: DIY

Woo what a weekend! As you can see my best friend Annie and I attended the fraternity PIKE's "Glow Night". Ridiculous to say the least, the night was amazingly fun! We knew our clothes would be thrown away from all the paint so we DIYed our own version of the Hakuna some Vodka tanks we had seen all over pinterest and some neon pink tutus which were super simple to make! We saved so much money, our tanks were about 10 dollars total once we bought the letters at Michaels and the tanks in the mens section at Walmart. We bought the fabric for our tutus at our closest fabric store along with the elastic oh and some Walmart 5 Dollar Keds ! in total our whole outfits were about 20- 25 Dollars $$$! Not bad at all for one night. The blog we read for our instructions on how to make an adult tutu is HERE and it was super easy since we didn't measure anything haha .

HAPPY SUNDAY !

Star of Hope

My "daughter" from the film Maddie
The Director of Star of Hope Mr. Scott
with the cast

Dress: BCBG|Heels:Kelsey|Gold Hoops:Tory Burch

Last week was super special for me because I finally got to watch the short film I did back in January! I along with the rest of the cast from the film were invited to attend the 2013 Star of Hope Banguet at the Hilton in downtown Houston along with almost 3000 sponsors. I'm so thankful I was chosen to do this because of all of the amazing people I got to work with from our director Scott Brignac to our photographer/camera man Cody Bess. Star of Hope is such an amazing program and they help thousands of homeless every year it was truly a blessing to have been able to film for them. My dress was an LBD from BCBG that had been in my closet for some months now and I hadn't had anywhere to wear it to. I did close the front draping a bit because it was a tad too revealing for the event but it was gorgeous none the less.

Polished Geek

Who doesn't own a printed tank? Lately I feel like printed tanks and tshirts are all of my rave, especially the nerdy chic ones like this play on the Louis Vuitton logo with a geeky Harry Potter edge.I always feel like tanks are seen as relaxed and not very polished so I decided to change that. I paired some cropped washed tangerine skinnies with my grey cotton tank from Skreened ,added a white blazer, and some simple gold accents. Im a huge fan of neutral shoes and bags but i didn't feel like using my fringed bag with a strap so I just folded it in half and TADA a clutch!

Happy Weekend!
